“ All the sandwiches are great and filling! I do prefer the beef over the chicken and CHEESE WHIZ over the provolone. Definitely my favourite Philly place in Edmonton. Although the buns are delicious, they don’t always hold up to all the toppings of the sandwich. I haven’t tried the poutines or rice bowls yet but will in the near future! Phat Boy is worth trying for sure! Update: came here again to try their new spring rolls and glad I did! Spring rolls were 2 each and a tasty addition to the meal! The sandwiches were awesome as always and the buns seem to be a little more structured and held everything together nicely! Their cheesecake is a definite must try!! ”
“ We ordered the Eagle with provolone, to go The meat was very tender and had zero gristle. For me personally, the sauce was bland. I would have preferred a little heat or zing. The bun was great. Soft, but not soggy. Look forward to trying some of their other options. ”
“ It was perfect! Got the basic sandwich. Everything was top notch. Bread was perfect. Meat was thin and juicy. Cheese whiz to top it off - absolutely fantastic! ”
“ I have long lamented that there was no place in Edmonton where I could get a true Philly cheesesteak. And had having had my first one in Philly many many years ago, nothing would sate my cravings. And here comes Phat Boy to the rescue! I can tell you I've been by a number of times and will go many times more! It hits all my cravings! The beef is a delight, shaved thin, cooked to perfection, tender, beefy and amazing. And if you want the true experience make sure it's with whiz! Cause if you don't you're not doing it right! Thier sides are also amazing as well! Crispy fries, AND CURLY FRIES! And the loaded fries are immaculate. Thank you so much for filling the hole in my heart! Will be back!!! ”
“ Add a little trouble understanding the menu. she explained everything to me. Just took me a second or two not too bad. But honestly this is the best bread I've had in a long time so fresh and warm and awesome. You must come here and just for their bread. You have to do it come and try the bread ”
“ I had the eagle sandwiches few months ago and it was good. Then the other day went back and tried the Philly with cheese wiz. Its also good. Both are messy but good. Messy part is don't get the cheese wiz and the beef all over your hands. Lol!! I am glad I listened to the cashier to try them. ”
“ I like the place, nice location and nice seating. The guy who served us was so helpful and genuine, gave us recommendations. The food was good, we had the eagle cheese steak and added the whiz to it, it tasted amazing (8.5/10), chili cheese steak (8/10) and the classic poutine (9/10). ”
“ I ordered 2 phat eagles, onion rings, popcorn chicken, and a cheese cake. The sandwich was good, but i wouldn't call it "phat." it was more of a long skinny cheese steak sandwich ( nothing like the photos in comparison), and the popcorn chicken was that processed frozen kind. Onion rings were good, but again, it shouldn't be called phat for the portion size it was more of a regular size. 2 stars for food, 3 stars for service, and 3 stars for the atmosphere. EDIT: 5 stars Dined in, and there was so much meat that the bread had a hard time holding it together. Very fresh and delicious added new photo for comparison. ”
